Imprimeur (succeeded by Guillaume Anabat, 1505–1510).

Chappiel’s earliest dated book is from 1500. The Inventaire chronlogique records dated books in 1502, 1503 and 1504. The Hours catalogued here use the woodcuts and borders of Gillet Hardouyn. The colophon of the Gerson (1504) suggests that Chappiel owned his own types: opera Anthonii chappiel testes sunt caracteres (printed by Antoine Chappiel, as the types bear witness).
