[Paris]: Venundantur ab Ioanne Paruo. [pr. by J. II Du Pré and A. Aussourd]. [Colophon 1:] Parrhysiis impensis Ioannis Parui anno Mil. D. XVIII. Pridie Cal. Octobris. [Colophon 2:] Lutetię excusa sunt, expensis Ioannis Parui. Anno millesimo quingentesimo .XIX. ad calculum Romanum, Pridie idus Aprilis [1518–1519].
2°: ⁎⁶ a–z & A–H⁸ I⁶ K⁸ aaa–iii⁶.
Printed in Paris for Jean Petit, the printing shared by Jean II Du Pré and Antoine Aussourd.
Edition shared by two printers: sigs ⁎2,3.4,5 a–z & A–H are printed with the typographical material of J. II Du Pré (IS001204); sigs ⁎1.6 I K aaa–iii are printed with the typographical material of A. Aussourd; it appears that Du Pré printed all the prelims except the outer sheet, which was completed by Aussourd after the completion of the rest of the book.
The attribution to Aussourd was noted by David Rogers (Imprimeurs parisiens).
Imprimeurs parisiens ascribes the title-page compartment to Badius but it is likely to be part of the material of J.Petit.
Royal privilege to Jehan Petit for three years from 18 April 1518 (1519 n.s.), dated Angers 19 June 1518; the note in Imprimeurs parisiens has misunderstood the chronology of the privilege.
The preliminary letter is by Nicolas Bérauld who was the editor and advisor associated with the press of the successors of J. Barbier which eventually passed to J. II Du Pré.
