Jean II Du Pré
Printer in Paris, 1514–1526

Imprimeur, libraire-juré.

Between 1515 and 1519 in partnership with Jacques Le Messier.

Some of his initial material derives from the workshop of Jean Barbier (d. 1515/16) and seems to have passed to Guillaume Bozossel in 1523. The Inventaire chronologique records no editions earlier than 1516. His 91R and 110R may be the material of Josse Badius for whom he printed several books. Nicolas Bérauld who was the editor and advisor associated with the press of the successors of Jean Barbier continued to work with Jean II Du Pré.
