Jean Philippi
Printer in Paris, 1494-1519

Libraire-imprimeur

Also referred to as Johannes Philippi.
His printing activity seems to have been intermittent: the Inventaire chronologique records him in 1501 (3 books), 1505-1506 (6 books), 1508 (1 book), 1511-1513 (6 books) and 1517 (2 books). It is possible that there are other unsigned books as yet unidentified.

Johann Kierher of Sélestat who is recorded at the University of Paris between September 1509 and July 1512 (M.A. 1510; Contemporaries of Erasmus, vol. 2, p.261) is recorded as working for Philippi as an editor in 1511 and 1512.
