Roce’s ‘Ad lectores’ states that Simon Charpentier persuaded him to have the book printed in italics by Le Rouge: ‘comoedias Italico charactere imprimi apud Guillelmum le rouge nobis persuasit’.
Charpentier edited other works for Le Rouge and Roce in 1512, date confirmed by the state of Roce’s device.
